FAQ's

What are the health benefits of dried elderberries?

Elderberries have been traditionally used to support immune system function and overall wellness. They're rich in antioxidants and natural compounds that promote health. Dried elderberries offer the same benefits as fresh berries in a concentrated, shelf-stable form, making them an easy addition to your daily health routine. 100% pure and no added sugar.

Where do Puresia dried elderberries come from and why Ukraine?

Our organic dried elderberries are sourced from pristine, ecologically clean regions in Ukraine, including forests along the Dniester and Pivdennyi Buh rivers. These remote, unpolluted areas produce some of the world's highest-quality wildcrafted elderberries. Ukraine's natural ecosystems create ideal growing conditions for nutrient-dense berries without synthetic chemicals.

How do I use dried elderberries to make tea and syrup?

Elderberry Tea:
Pour 1 cup of boiling water over 1-2 teaspoons of dried elderberries. Cover and steep for 5-8 minutes, strain, and enjoy. Add honey if desired. Consume hot or cold as a soothing wellness drink, and can add to other herbal teas.

Elderberry Syrup Recipe:

  1. Place ¾ cup dried elderberries and 3 cups water in a saucepan. Cook on medium-high for 45 minutes to 1 hour until thick and reduced by half.
  2. Remove from heat and cool completely.
  3. Strain syrup into a bowl, pressing juice from berries with a wooden spoon.
  4. Whisk in ¾ cup raw honey until fully combined.
  5. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 weeks.

Usage: For daily wellness, take 1 tablespoon per day. For immune support during cold or flu season, take 1 tablespoon three times daily. Note: Do not give honey-containing syrup to children under 1 year old. Both dried elderberry tea and homemade elderberry syrup are convenient ways to incorporate the immune-supporting benefits of pure, organic elderberries into your daily health routine.

Should not be consumed raw. Store in a cool, dry place.
